SEARCA Alumni Awardee

Dr. Rodelio F. Subade, Economics professor at the University of the
Philippines Visayas was conferred the rank of UP Scientist 1 during
the UP Scientific Productivity Award Ceremony on 28 October 2011, at
the Ang Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman, Quezon City. Read more… [1]

The scientific paper of Dr. Michelle Grace Paraso that revealed the
negative effects of estrogen among the male carps in Laguna Lake was
cited as best paper during the 48th Philippine Society of Animal
Science National and 29th Visayas Scientific Seminar and Annual
Convention. The convention, participated in by animal and veterinary
science professionals in the country, was held at L’Fisher Hotel in
Bacolod City from 26 to 28 October 2011.Read more... [2]

Ms. Lucille T. Minguez, was recognized by the Philippine Civil
Service Commission, as part of the Northern Mindanao Integrated
Agricultural Research Center (NOMIARC) which won the 2011 PAG-ASA
Awards Group Category. NOMIARC, which is part of the Department of
Agriculture Region 10 bested four other government organizations to
bag the PAG-ASA award, which according to the civil service
commission is given to an individual or group for outstanding contributions that
directly benefit more than one department of government on a certain

 ผศ.ดร.ประพันธ์  โอสถาพันธุ์ ผอ.สถาบันวิจัยฯ 

เนื่องในโอกาสที่ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้จัดการประชุมวิชาการ ประจำปี 2554 ระหว่างวันที่ 1-2 ธันวาคม เพิื่อเป็นการเฉลิมฉลองมหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ครบ 77 ปี  ชมรมศิษย์เก่า UPLB แห่งประเทศไทย ได้ร่วมเป็นเจ้าภาพในการจัดงานประชุมวิชาการในครั้งนี้  โดยมี ดร.อดุลย์ อภินันท์ ประธานชมรม นำศิษย์เก่า UPLB ภาคเหนือ เข้าร่วมงานครั้งนี้อย่างคับคั่ง

ดร.อดุลย์อภินันท์ได้กล่าวเชิญชวนศิษย์เก่าทุกท่านที่สนใจเข้าร่วมประชุมเสนอผลงาน และเข้าร่วมฟังการบรรยายและอภิปรายในการสัมมนา โดยจะมีการนัดสมาชิกชมรมทั้งเก่า-ใหม่เข้าร่วมพบปะพูดคุยกันอย่างไม่เป็นทางการด้วย

ดร.ประพันธ์ โอสถาพันธุ์ ผอ.สถาบันวิจัยฯ ในฐานะประธานจัดงาน และศิษย์เก่า UPLB รุ่นปี 1989 มีความยินดีขอเปิดบ้านต้อนรับการไปเยือนของพี่น้องชาวไทยลอสบันโยสอย่างเต็มที่

นอกจากงานประชุมวิชาการแล้ว มหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้ยังมีการจัดงานนิทรรรศการเกษตร ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1-10 ธค 54 อีกด้วย สนใจดูรายละเอียด ได้ที่ เว็บไซต์  www.mju.ac.th

ผศ.ดร.จำเนียร ยศราช ได้รับรางวัล ศิษย์เก่าดีเด่น ประจำปี 2011 เนื่องในโอกาสวันคืนสู่เหย้า Homecoming Day ครั้งที่ 94  ณ มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งชาติฟิลิปปินส์  ลอสบันโยส เมืองลากูน่า ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ และ นำนักศึกษาและอาจารย์จากมหาวิทยาลัยแม่โจ้แสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรมรำไทย เข้าร่วมขบวนพาเหรดในวัน Loyalty Day เมื่อวันที่ 10 ตค 2554 ด้วย เป็นที่ตื่นตา ประทับใจแก่นิสิตและอาจารย์ของมหาวิทยาลัย

UPLB celebrates 93rd Loyalty Day       
One by one, the different university units, alumni jubilarians, and local as well as regional and international organizations that comprise the Los Baños Science Community marched past the DL Umali Hall for the traditional Loyalty Day parade and celebration on Oct. 10.

One by one, they were introduced to guests and alumni who came for one of UPLB's most enduring traditions by  parade annotators Prof. Naomi Enriquez, Ciejay Calara, and Mark Lester Chico.

A contingent from Thailand's oldest agricultural institution - Maejo University- composed of university officials and students who were on official visit to UPLB as part of the Student Cultural Exchange Program,  joined the parade. The Maejo Cultural Dance Troupe obliged the university community with performances displaying their precision and the grace of their indigenous dances.
